Discovery

Will the Infoblox integration get on the Device42 roadmap along with MS DHCP?
We have Infoblox discovery via SNMP. It isn’t part of the DHCP work at this time.

Will the roadmap include EOS/EOL date for hardware and software (non-OS)?
We are looking to bring this information in later this year or early 2024.

Are there features like software metering and discovery around it?
We have usage metering throughout the product but nothing specific to software.

We still have customers that do not allow us to push their data into Insights+. Do you have a plan to create a deployable AI and Insights+ appliance for those customers?
This is not part of current plans, but we will consider for the future.

Cloud Discovery and Application Dependency Mapping (ADM)

How about containers?
Containers are on our list of resources that we want to present in ADM in the near future. If you’d like to chat with us (product team) so that we can better understand your specific use case, then we would love to chat with you and your team.

We have had a couple of resellers ask us if the asset management piece will be able to look at Cloud applications which are being used. Will this functionality be on the road map?
Cloud ADM is part of the roadmap and will begin to be available later this year.

Insights+

Could you also take that same Insights+ alert, and push through an API to a traditional monitoring platform in System Operations as an example? Tivoli, BMC, etc. products.
Yes, you can push an Alert through an API. Integrations with other products would depend on their ability to accept data through API calls.

Will your Insights+ strategy maintain the use of DOQL or will it use a new query language or interface?
Yes, we will maintain the use of DOQLs as the underlying query language for the reports.

Will advanced reporting be going away?
Partners and customers have built a lot around advanced reporting, and it will not be going away.

General Questions

Are you planning to automate DCIM in future? Also there are some challenges with network discoveries. Are you expecting any improvements in this space?
This is not on the roadmap in the near future.

Is there any additional cost related to the product roadmap features you shared today?
There is no additional cost above how the product is licensed today. For example, discovering cloud resources will consume device licenses. Cloud ADM is licensed just as on-prem ADM is licensed today. There will be no additional charge for any of the EnrichAI functionality.

Given the frequency of updates, how many previous versions do you support and for how long?
We recommend staying up-to-date to get all the benefits of features and fixes. While we do not have any limits on the versions we will support, we do not patch older versions of our software. To get the latest bug and security updates, you must upgrade to the most recent version.
